MATERIALS
Rapt in Maille jewelry is made predominantly from stainless steel, a very durable, affordable, hypoallergenic, and easy-to-care-for material. Unless otherwise noted, everything that is silver in color is stainless steel, including all jump rings, chains, findings, and clasps.
CARE
Rapt in Maille jewelry is made from stainless steel components with few exceptions. Stainless steel will not tarnish or oxidize, but may appear dull over time from outside elements such as natural oils from your skin or beauty products. Bring back luster with any liquid dish soap and water by vigorously lathering between your hands, then rinse and towel dry.
If your jewelry has a gemstone, please be mindful. You can alternatively use a soft-bristled toothbrush or soft cloth with soap and water to reach around stones. A polishing cloth will also bring back shine, but a thorough cleaning with soap and water is recommended from time to time.
SHIPPING
PRODUCTION TIME: Unless otherwise stated in the product description, your order will ship within 2-5 business days. During holidays and busy times, please allow for 7-10 business days. Feel free to contact me to inquire about current production times.
METHOD & COST: Orders will ship USPS Priority for the carrier rate, which is usually just over $9. NEW: If your order subtotal is $125 or less, you also have the option to choose standard shipping (USPS Ground Advantage) for a flat rate of $4.50.
INTERNATIONAL: All orders shipping outside of the United States can be sent UPS Worldwide Express or Expedited, or USPS Priority Mail International. My website will calculate this rate for your country and specific location.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Exchanges: 30 days Returns: 15 days.
Items purchased during the holiday season (November 1st-December 31st) may be exchanged through January 15th of the following year.
Items must be unworn, undamaged, and in their original condition.

Will stainless steel tarnish?
Stainless steel will not tarnish or rust under normal conditions, but may appear to get dull over time from excessive wear, your skin’s natural oils, beauty products, or exposure to the environment. This can simply be washed off with soap and water, or any safe cleaning product. Read more here.
Is it possible to have an allergic reaction to stainless steel?
Stainless steel is hypoallergenic, which means it won't cause an allergic reaction with MOST people. It is not at all common for stainless steel to react with the skin, but everyone needs to know their own metal sensitivities since it varies widely from person to person. If, by chance, you have an adverse reaction to Rapt in Maille's stainless steel jewelry, we would be happy to initiate a return. However, many happy customers who have metal allergies (like to nickel) purchase Rapt in Maille because they can wear it safely.
What if the listed size of the piece I like won't work for me?
Since Rapt in Maille is made by hand, a custom size is almost always possible. Please send an email to inquire about getting your correct size made. Include a link to the item, the exact title of the piece, or the item SKU number. If you need extra length for a necklace, you can always bypass the custom request and purchase an extension chain.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, absolutely! Gift cards are available for every occasion in denominations from $25 to $500. You can find the gift cards under the SHOP menu in the main website header.
Do you accept custom orders?
