WINTER GEMSTONE 2023 Oval Feather Pyrite Ring: Size 7

This opaque white stone has swirling tendrils of metallic gold pyrite that climb skywards. The outer edge of the stone has a slightly golden yellow cast. Thick, triple-link band.

Because of pyrite's metallic luster and normally pale brass-yellow hue, it is more well-known by its nickname fool's gold. Its name comes from the Greek pyritēs lithos which means "stone or mineral which strikes fire," because in ancient times it was discovered it could create sparks when struck against steel.
