This tiger iron stone has beautiful light and medium golden brown areas of tiger's eye that are split by a long, vertical streak of dark gray hematite. The stone is captured by tiny stainless steel spheres that are welded around the stone one by one. This ring has a thick, triple-link band.

Tiger iron is typically made of tiger's eye quartz, metallic gray hematite and red jasper. It is also called tiger eye matrix. 

The "cat eye" effect of tiger's eye is called chatoyancy. Its lustrous appearance comes from the parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals and altered amphibole fibers.
